Do the new medicines involve these two meds?

Yes.
peg-interferon + ribavirin + INCIVEK™ (telaprevir)
or
peg-interferon + ribavirin + Victrelis™ (boceprevir)

You will need to wait for a newer generation of meds without eg-interferon and ribavirin. They are current in clinical trials.

Cheers!

your alt & ast is high but the pcr is about average. the pcr is of no concern unless treating. Do you have Hep C? if yes you may want to consider treating soon. there hasn't been a better time to treat HCV then now because of the new drugs that just got approved.

best of luck
