lmao very good mate ,i get it yeah ,we can all get a bit edgey from time to time me most definatly included, i get when you pull back and get the bigger picture its makes it more toralable lol.
got your point there!
have you seen that old movie Amadeus it says that there is two kind of people in the world the Salieri people and tha Mozart people I guess what i was trying to say was don´t trust theme Salieris! LOL
yep thats about the same here too mate, it like an episode off scrubs lol, i guess it depends on the day they have,we hardly spend any time there and it stresses us out imagine WORKING there dealing with doctors that treat them like poo poo, and then we come in as experts and tell them there job i suppouse i have some emphaty with them, god they have it bad here.
I think we shall be careful in beliving what nurses and even some docs tells us.
They got their graduation don´t need to study no more just have to be on work to get paycheck. I´m of course not talking about all nurses and docs much grateful to all the skilled and "nice" ones.
I had a nurse in the beginning of sec tx had her also as stand in first tx, two times.
Very nice, ( she felt so much for the paitent she asured me) pretty to, she has been working with hcv at least 10years
when i asked for labcopies she wasn`t nice anymore and she told me my pre vl was 3.8 iuml and its high.
You must mean 3.8 milj or 3.8 log I replaid. No we only talk about international units per ml and its 3.8 she said with a very snappish voice. Terrific then I´m UND I said, because the test don´t show <15iuml
She run away and asked someone and came back it was 3.8milj 6.5 log ( not sure of exact log nr)
I´ve learnead to be on guard with to nice people on the whole, through out the years.
In 9 cases out of 10 when I have meet someone who has seemed to good to be true they have turned out to be some kind of psychopat.
thanx all for your comments,no i derfinatly heard her right it was geno type and not fibrosis, thats ireland for you our health service is appauling it really is we have 1 good thing as we only pay 80 euros per month max for meds, but our hospitals are in an awfull state, like been told to stay away unless totally nessesary ,people are going in for simple proceedures and end up dead from infections, its a sad state of affairs, they are filthy really disgusting,i couldnt wait to get out after my biopsy,i still felt dirty after a shower,oh im not a prude or any thing in fact i find it hard to notice any thing like that unless its in my face, which it was and the smell ahhh,we use to have lovley hospitals,i can remember getting my appendix out and didnt want to go home lol,the times they are a changen, sorry if i went off thread there ,just feels good to have a moan now and then.
I believe the nurse was referring not to genotype which happens most commonly to be type 1,2, or 3 in the US, but to liver fibrosis stage. It is true for some patients that respond to therapy by clearing the virus while on therapy even if they do not permanently clear the virus through SVR there stage of liver damage can improve. It is less common for people who are cirrhotic or stage 4. I think there was a misunderstanding as to what numbers she was referring to.
I think that nurse has been hitting the medicine cabinet too many times!
"lower your geno type from a type 1 to a type 2." Gee and I always thought 2 was higher than 1??? This tx is really affecting my mind....
;-))

There's a lot of anecdotal evidence of people reversing a stage or two after an unsuccessful treatment, but the only study I've heard of on this subject seems to indicate it doesn't make a difference.
The answer is a definite no. Genotype doesn't change from type 1 to type 2 or vise versa. It's possible to contract several different genotypes but they always remain the same. Treatment has been shown to improve the liver is some cases but again it does not totally reverse the damage. Hopefully, if you are in tx you will reach SVR and no more worries.
Good Luck
Trinity
Ive never heard of a genotype changing because of treatment, that is impossible to me.
Your genotype will stay the same. After treatment your viral load may have dropped, and if you had any stage of fibrosis then that may have dropped a stage as well.
