I don't about the others, but they help me to understand, what the meds are that are available, who the trial population was - which puts official recommendations into some kind of prespective, and, perhaps most important, how the meds work, what the 'science' behind the med is (meds are).

Does that change anything about future treatments?  Maybe not, BUT also, maybe, as we become more informed, and can discuss med choices with the Dr.  Many people have doctors who can learn from the information we are able to bring back into the office visit.  Also, if we bring up questions as a result of info we have learned, Drs can explain more completely why he as chosen X over, say, Z or S.

I am not being very clear (or succinct) but hope this helps.  Pat

I'm curious, do these webinars help change the course of future treatments? Or are they more like an FYI? Q & A's?
I'm sorry, if is sounds like a silly question.
Maybe someone can help me better understand.
Thank you!

S:  I think AMama is talking about a regular phone, where you just dial the Phone number, do what they instruct ( Press some number, etc) and just listen.  We used to do that back in the past, at work before we have the computer ability. mI think she is right, that there is info on the registration site.

Anyway, there is a toll free # to call if you have a question about registration.  You might want to call them and ask.

aoh, you might want to give them a number where you have LD calls without paying by the minute, OR mkae sure the number to call to listen is Toll Free (I' ll bet on that option).   Good Luck! Pat

Yes, Pat, they were. I did a sound check and everything was on, on my speakers.  I'd do it on my phone, if I had that type of phone with a decent data plan, but I can't even open pictures in a text message.  It's not a IPhone, or an Android.  Susan400

AM:  Got it!  Took me a couple of tries to get it open, but no trouble with registering.  Got a Confirmation of receipt last night and a confirmation if registration this a.m.

I hope I don't do something to make the slides get ahead of the speaker this time.

Susan, are you sure your sound was turned on, on your computer, and the volume up?  I had to make a note to remind myself to do that before the program started, as I usually keep the sounf turned off, or way far down (and forget which, so have to check it good, before I want to use the sound for something.  : -).    (Just a thought).

I registered for the last one and never could get any sound to come out. I don't own an IPAD, or tablet, so I can't watch it like that. I have a simple desktop and all the slides came up, but not any sound or talking. I got too frustrated trying to figure it out. By the time I had messed with it and messed with it, the seminar was over.  So, I think I'll pass this time and hopeful someone who watches it will come back on here and give a synopsis.

This is the question I posted:

Will the use of Ribavirin become an adjunct treatment of the past or do you see a continued benefit for difficult to treat patients?
