Take that missing Victrelis right away now and consider yourself done with ribavirin for the day. You'll be fine. The timing of the ribavirin is actually fairly flexible, but the Victrelis is not. Come up with a system to double check yourself in the future!
Is it okay to take them this close together?
I don't know what time it is there or just how far behind schedule you are with the Victrelis, but if you are off by more than an hour you might want to take your 10pm dose a little bit later, so it's at least 7 hours after your afternoon dose. I think ALL of us have done this particular mess-up at least once during tx, so you're not alone.
How should I take VICTRELIS?
• If you miss a dose of VICTRELIS and it is less than 2 hours before the next dose, the missed dose should be skipped.
• If you miss a dose of VICTRELIS and it is more than 2 hours before the next dose, take the missed dose with food. Take your next dose at your normal time and continue the normal dosing schedule. Do not double the next dose. If you have questions about what to do, call your healthcare provider.

Yes ..that is fine
As ceanothus mentioned in the first response the Riba dosing early is of no consequence and the Vic dosing has a 7 -9 hr window so take the Vic now. if it is 2 hours either way from 2;00 where you are
Best to you..

Yep, I agree. The Victrelis cannot be missed. No harm in taking it close together, other than possible stomach upset, so take with food. Type out a schedule and put it where you can always see it, to keep track of which meds. Establish a routine (if you haven't already), since as time goes on during tx, you can't always rely on your memory. Alarms on your watch or phone also help.

I think its fine to take Victrelis and ribavirin together. I was on Incivek and I always took my morning doses of Incivek and ribavirin together. Some people have had to take their second ribavirin at the same time as their second Incivek in order to be able to sleep at night. I hope one of the Victrelis people comes onto confirm that this is all true for Victrelis too, but I am positive without confirmation that you should give top priority to getting your Victrelis in as close to the recommended time as possible, in order to keep fairly steady blood levels (to reduce risks of mutations on the virus). The blood levels of the ribavirin don't fluctuate as quickly and it is a little less critical if they do fluctuate.
Thank you, everyone! This will NOT happen again. I just took the Vic and will take it again on sched at 10pm. Once again, thanks for bailing this rookie out!
Many of us have done the same thing. It makes you keep a sharp eye out. Do you set timers on a cell phone? Maybe if you're just not feeling good, a family member or friend can be a second reminder for you.
Good luck,
Karen :)
