Many things may elevate the AST &  ALT ( the therapy drugs themselves ,Nash ,NAFLD, any medications ,muscle injury  just to name a few) however A PCR ,as the above posters have suggested is the only way to tell if relapse has occurred.,however unlikely.

Good luck...

Mine have been elevated also but still UND.  Like Medic said be sure and get your 12 wk VL so you have one less thing to worry about.  Then once you reach SVR you can cross off Hep C on your list.  My Dr told me that the drugs stay in your system for months and this can cause elevated ALT/AST.

I'm assuming your 3 months post tx? If so I'd get a 12 week TMA viral load as it has been shown in studies to be 99.7% predictable for the 24 week PCR... and is what all the studies use now (FDA approved). Piece of mind and a rule out as the reason of the elevations.

Chuck, I feel your pain.  I just had EOT a week ago and still undetected, but my alt is 133 and ast is 100, my platelets are clumped and unable to read, and my blood pressure is high at 148/90.  I'm not overweight and I've been getting a decent cardio workout 4 times a week for about the last 2 to 3 months of my treatment.  A lot of people here have said they've experience similar lab work results and some say they eventually come back to the normal ranges.  I have a hepatologist working with me and he is exploring the possibility of some autoimmune activity.  I'll get some more lab work in 3 weeks so hopefully I'll know more.  Good luck with your situation, and keep in touch.
