You might want to contact zako7. He is genotype 4 and I believe is either still treating or has done treatment. I haven't seen him online in a while but give it a try and send him a PM.

Here is a slide show of what is new in genotype 4 treatment. Including new interferon, SVR stats, and current clinical trial drugs.

∗ Epidemiological trials show that HCV-4 has spread
beyond Africa and the Middle East to Western
countries
∗ Recent clinical data provides new insights into HCV-4
infection and treatment strategies
∗ Baseline viremia, early viral kinetics, AFP and stage of
liver disease are important  to individualize therapy.

∗ HCV-4 seems to have SVR (60%), in between genotype  1 and genotypes 2 & 3
∗ 24 weeks of therapy may be successful in RVR  patients who clear the virus at week 4
∗ Future Therapy
New IFN
DAAs
Others

Good luck.

There was some talk about Telaprevir in the triple combination therapy, but I don't know if that is now the SOC for type 4.
