This is extremely reassuring, can't thank you enough. I will definitely be getting tested I just wanted to do the safest thing for my family until then. Thanks for your response!
Dontworry info was right on all aspects. Your risk is low. From the CDC
“Nedle stick Risk for Occupational Transmission of HCV
HCV is not transmitted efficiently through occupational exposures to blood. The average incidence of anti-HCV seroconversion after accidental percutaneous exposure from an HCV-positive source is 1.8% (range: 0%--7%) (73--76), with one study indicating that transmission occurred only from hollow-bore needles compared with other sharps (75).”

But yes as was said get tested. Best to you.
The chance of being infected with a needle stick is low. You can get a viral
load test after 3 weeks. This would confirm if you've been infected or not.
At far as sex is concerned....transmitting hepatitis C through sex is low risk.
If you or your partner have more then one partner then the risk increases.
I have had the same partner for over 20 years. Regardless of my chronic Hepatitis C they never got it. This is true with many couples. I'ver heard
that statement over and over here.
Hope this helps
