LOL, gotta watch will, he's at an advantage at the moment of not being on trt and no brain fog, :-))
LOL at will and OH, no worries RRichard
@OH, i have found number 2 usually comes before number 1...:)
Please, please listen to me.
I am sure I was infected before my two kids were born. I was not diagnosed until 30 years late.
This means, all those years I had the virus, I raised my kids without knowing I had it.
I bandaged their boo-boos, I went swimming with them, taught them to brush their teeth, changed their diapers and a million other things moms do. My son always had scrapes and thought falling down was great fun until he was in his 20s.
When I was diagnosed, my grown kids were checked.
Neither of them had hep C.
My story is not unique. Many of us have raised kids, not knowing we were infected and did not infect our kids.
Your worries though understandable are unfounded.
Please relax.
All this anxiety is not good for your son or for your health.
Will: Well, we do need to bait Goof out of the woods sometimes:)
You might of known I couldn't resist an opening like that....and you know if goof sees it...well
Oh man~
that's what I get for not think about everybody who'll read this !
think if you take care of number one, it will also help with number two.

Always a nice feeling.... :0)
Thanks, everyone! Orphanedhawk.. my anxiety level is just very high about infecting my son!
Don't worry about asking a ridiculous questions.
However, I've seen your posts and they tell me two things about you.
One, you are not very well educated about the hepatitis C virus.
And two, you have a lot of anxiety.
I think if you take care of number one, it will also help with number two.
So, here are a couple of web sites where you can learn more about hep C.
I suggest you copy them down to refer to when concerned and of course, you can ask us, but none of us are professionals:
Enjoy the little ones and the pool :)

Enjoy the little one in the pool . There is no worry in this scenario .
Best..

No, virus doesn’t transmit like this. Think about it; practically everyone in the world would be infected with HCV, vs. the roughly 1.8% we have now.
If your kids didn’t become infected through childbirth (<5% do), and assuming you don’t share IV drugs with them they most likely won’t get it from you.
Household/environmental transmission isn’t an issue; I know of no documented cases of it.
Hug your kids, swim with them, kiss them etc. Much more harm will come to them as a result of over caution; enjoy them as any other parent would.

Thanks! I guess better safe than sorry though.
Hi RR: I agree with Stormy that transmission in the scenario you described is doubtful. It's possible that other posters will only respond if they have a different opinion. Best, GB
Is no one responding because my question is ridiculous? I'm sorry if it is but I just want to make sure, especially if the neighborhood kids come to swim too!
Thanks! He is ALWAYS full of cuts and scrapes so it worries me.
I'm sure one of our expert posters will respond, but I would be HIGHLY doubtful that you can transmit HCV through sharing a baby pool. It's really about blood to blood contact. It's sweet that you're such a careful mom, but I would not be worried at all. Sounds like fun!
