And thank you for the advice...ill start looking into that prigram today!
My doctor gave me the option of 24 weeks without interfeton, or 12 weeks with. I am trying to reenlist in the military, and time is of the essence. Ill talk to him to make sure, but im thinking he shose this route, maybe to make sure its gone.
PS to above post:
The SVR (cure rate) rate I quoted was for Treatment Naive Genotype 2.
The SVR rate is lower for those who failed previous treatment and for those with Cirrhosis. However, the SVR rate is still quite high.
Read the results of the various studies for which I provided a link.
If you have Hepatitis C, Genotype 2, I am wondering why you are doing Interferon, Sofosbuvir (Sovaldi), and Riobavirin?
The current recommended regimen for Genotype 2 is Sofosbuvir and Ribavirin (without Interferon) for 12 weeks. That 12 week regimen has a 95% cure rate for Genotype 2.
