Please forgive this multiple entry - I keep hitting the 'post a comment' button.  My husband says I have happy fingers - they just dance around, causing these problems.

As I was saying, many carry on normally, except maybe reduce the amount they exercise, or move it to afternoons. etc.

I hope this doesn't bore you to death and that it helps.

Good Luck, Hang in there, be very compliant on your meds - but know you are not fighting the dragon alone!  Pat

Hi, M:  Welcome to the Forum.  I, too, am Gt3, on Sol/ Riba a just completed my 9th week of 24 week course - 400 mg Sol, which I take @ 8 am each day and 3200 mg eiba morning @ same time as Sol, and 3 200 mg Riba @ 8:00 pm.  There are many of us around so you will probably get several different 'takes' on sides.

To answer, usual side effects the doctor will probably tell you to expect are fatigue, possibly headaches sometimes, and maybe anemia.

Now, as to what I am experiencing:  i have not had any headaches that I know of ( just one or two of my normal sinus heads when sinuses actifng up, but I truly believe those are not in any way related to my meds).

The first week (where you are now, I felt this getat energy, not mania kind, just normal, which I can never remember having as I have had hepc for 40 years).  Then I did start to feel the fatigue.  At first, I just had to rest (sit a while) or take a nap.  Then, as my Hmg went down, I had to watch my schedule.  @ 3 wks My Hmg was at 9.6 from 14.4, Which explained the fatigue.  @ wk 7 I was down to 8.8, which is, as far as I know, where I am now.  Dr and I have discussed this @length and I talked him in to waiting a week, getting another Hmg and see if I have stablized or improved a bit.  He really believed I should start Procrit, used to improve Hmg, BUT, since the ONLY side effect I am having is the fatigue and I am retired so can adjust my schedule to rest more, he is letting me wait til next week.

Several people on here have said that their Hmg stabilized or even improved a little between 8 & 10 weeks.  I am hoping.

Now, having said that, many on here have not had the lower Hmg so were not as tired and abled to work, exercise, etc.  I expect you will hear from them, directly.

Two things, DRINK LOTS OF WATER ON THESE MEDS - in fact, I don't believe we get enough under normal ciecumstance.  You should be drinking an ouce of water per pound, up to 1/2 your body weight.  And, even if you are as fatigued as I am, do whatever exercise you can as that truly seems to help.  I walk around in the house, do my morning stretches before I get out of bed, and, when I feel like it, walk in the grocery store or Walmart (no malls near me).  Many are carrying on normally, but ma
