Welcome mike, the side effects are different for everyone who goes thru tx=treatment. You will never know how the side effects=sx's will be until you try. That's the honest truth. Read around awhile, there are many people right here on this forum going thru tx right now and some aren't doing bad at all. good luck!
Hi Mike - It is impossible to say what will happen with you as everyone is so different. I guess the best advice is to hope for the best but be prepared for the worse. Regardless, most of us make it through even the worst of the sides. For me, it seemed the sides came in stages. While I had excruciating bone pain, it went away only to be replaced by something else. You may have nothing at all or minimal sides. So, just don't be afraid or anticipate too much. You will be okay, maybe not happy and peppy and bursting with love, but okay.
My best as you move forward.
My sx decreased as tx went on. joint pain was by far the worst at the beginning. But the anemia never got better until I stopped. I've always found motivation to be over rated.......but it got better very quickly, in a few days I swear. Perhaps it was psychological but what ever I'll take it.
Good luck
As mentioned above, your reaction to treatment is so difficult to predict, but it surely won't be a walk in the park. I'd suggest you read up and go into this with eyes wide open and discuss thoroughly with your doctor about managing the potential side effects. Many have treated successfully before us and have set the stage with better drugs and shorter time frames for treatment.
Best of luck to you.
