Welcome and good luck with your treatment.  The best advice that I can offer is to drink lots of water, take your medications on time (don't skip any doses), take your ribavirin with food, and try to take a short walk outside every day if you are able.

Hi Jacci welcome aboard!! I'm a 2b also but finished treatment a week early on 5/13 Monday due to a little anemia. But I'm coming along!!
Your plan sounds great. As you've been told, seems we're all different. Side effects are just not the same for everyone. But I think the common one is fatigue.
Before I started I purchased every item I could think of. This will benefit you since your going to want to rest on the weekend. I would also warn you about the rash, if you were to have any breakout that you would consider unusual call your treating Dr. Immediately. If you have a dermatologist that would be best. As the knowledgeable posters above said drink that water!!! Keep posting!! Very best to you!!

Hi when I treated with the Peg and riba I did my shot on Fridays right after I got home from work in the hope that I would be able to work on Monday.
Sometimes I could not work on Monday.  As others said, try to drink as much water as you can, the tx really dehydrates the body and that can cause sx to be worse.
If you can stock up on some healthy food before treating that will help as well.  If you have any questions there are many people more than willing to help you with anything.
You might want to have some benedryl on hand in case you get a rash or can't sleep at night. Of course this is with doctor approval.  I experienced dry eyes so used eye drops.
My best to you

Welcome! I'm also a geno 2 doing dual therapy. I do my injection on Friday evening and it seems to work well with the timing of my work. As Idyllic said the sides are different for everyone and doing your shot on Friday does give you those weekend days to recover. I'm in my 7th week and the fatigue has been my biggest enemy as the weeks progressed but other than some aches and pains I seemed to have escaped the flu-like symptoms (none yet anyway). Drink lots of water and keep your nutrition in check. Above all try to stay positive and keep your eye on the prize!

Best wishes for a smooth treatment and the cure!

Greetings and welcome to the forum.
Do you by any chance mean 2 pills twice a day for the Riba rather than 2 pills per day?

It varies how the side effects effect different people. I think I did OK when I was on dual therapy. I took Tylenol before injecting my Interferon and I guess that helped. In the beginning I had no real side effects except maybe fatigue. Still, I found that injecting on Friday gave me the weekend to recover.

Congrats on getting clean and turning your life around. This will be over before you know it. There is all kinds of support and info on the forum and you are not alone.
Best of luck♫
