i am 47 years old and been told i have cirrhoisis of the liver

what is a good multivitamin for someone with cirrhosis

these goup is so right...a blood test will be able to tell you what you should be taking...I always ask for a vitamin script even if it something you can buy off the shelf or over the counter without script because it should a medical need and I can include that cost in my overall medical tax deductions for the year.

i would get some blood work done to see what vitamins you might need...d is a vitamin that many of us seem low on..i would of course eat right...exercise..and don't drink alcohol.....

A good multiple vitamin is one without iron. This is important for anyone with cirrhosis as too much iron can cause liver damage.
I chose a food based multi.

Hi,
You should really talk to your liver specialist about it, but a reputable brand without iron should be fine, according to my understanding.
Good luck and do check out other threads on this forum about diet and vitamins. There is a lot of good information.
