Just want to echo what hrsepwrguy said.
In 2011-2012, I treated with Interferon, Ribavirin, and Incivek ..... 48 weeks. Yes, treatment was rough, but I am cured of Hepatitis C, and I have no lasting side effects from treatment.
If it was me, and Interferon (with Ribavirin) was all I could get, I would treat with Interferon and Ribavirin rather than wait for newer drugs because no one knows when the newer drugs will become available in Indonesia. The Hepatitis C virus continues to cause damage as long as it is in the body. It damages the liver and it causes many other extrahepatic problems in the body. Personally, I would rather be cured before I sustained more damage.
Wishing you the best with treatment.
It's very apparent that you are all ready treating, so just a little FYI, I treated with interferon, ribavirin and incivek for 48 wks, today I am cured and have been for over 2 yrs, it was rough but I have no lasting side effects, wishing you all the best

Amidis: There you have your answers. I agree with all--if you have a choice, please wait so as not to have to use the Interferon.
If nothing else, there are repectable companies in India who are now shipping Sovaldi out of country. if you located one of those, (see the thread bpatarted by amigo77 for more info) and got a prescription from your doctor, you could get the Sovaldi by mail and get the Copegus or Rebetol there at home (or by mail if need be) and be all set,
H'guy. Thanks! I did not know those two were Riba. Learn something everyday.
Blesings, all.

i guess you are already doing them. If not, don't. Not worth the damage done to other major systems of your body.
Interferon is being discontinued in USA due to better meds out now and due to Intrferon/ribaviran being a dangerous drug combo. I'd be complaining about the weakness you mentioned to my doctor. These two drugs can make you severely anemic when taken together. Careful.
I live in Indonesia, the treatment for hep c only with the interferon and ribavirin in here.
Copegus and Rebetol are the same, they are brand names for the generic drug ribavirin, either one will be fine.
Have a great day
Where are you living/considering that treatment? Those are old protocols.
