best time to take interferon shot???
tonight I take my first shot. I was planning on taking it around 8pm but then someone else told me to take it later like around 10pm. I usually go to bed between 12am-2am. What do you reccommend the best time to take the shot would be?? just curious to what works best for others..
Yeah, I think people are really different with this. The interferon nasties usually didn't hit me until about 24 hours after injection, and I had no side effects at all from the first two or three injections. Once you've worked out your response pattern, you'll know when to do it. I had to bring my injection forward from a Tuesday to a Friday so that when the twitches came I'd be at home and not have to work. Good luck!
When they rolled around I'd take the Incivek, Riba, and Interferon all at once and I was none the worse for it. Twitch twitch.

I don't think it really matters at all relative to the timing of the incivek. I think what matters more is doing the shot an hour or two before bedtime. Since your incivek is at 10pm and your bedtime is 12am, then doing both at the same time would work.

I did my first shot in the docs office late afternoon to review the procedures. I did not have any side effects such as fever and chills. The rest I did around an hour or two prior to bed to sleep through whatever sides there may be. Don't assume you will have side effects from the first shot. Some do, some don't. For me there was a lot of anxiety for the first few shots, but once you get a few down, it does get much easier. Good luck to you as you move forward through trt and don't be afraid to ask questions.
