What would be beneficial in your case may depend on your individual circumstances and medical history - so not knowing more of that and just in general I can't think of a reason to stop working out.
I wouldn't stop exercising prior to treatment. Physical activity is one of the few things that got me through treatment. Of course You might want to mentally prepare yourself for the possibility you may not be able to perform with your usual stamina but (to me) the key is staying active and not giving into the side effects.
I'll leave cigarette smoking to you and your doctor - or others who care to weight in.
Best of Luck.
i think maybe cut down a your cigs before tx...there are many folks that can't stand the taste or smell of smoke while on tx...i thought i would be able to smoke a little pot during tx to help with symptoms but the smell was too much and i just couldn't put anything extra in my body...there are some that quit smoking during tx....10 cigarettes a day isn't that many anyway...maybe look into getting on an ad before tx...that can help with the ups and downs during tx...and really take the time to talk with your doctor about tx..get cbcs every week and keep an eye on your blood work...you can post it here and get lots of help....i couldn't exercise during tx although many can...good luck....billy
Thank you. I tried to quit smoking but I failed, my body was empty for two months but I went back again to smoking,i'll give it another try maybe it works this time,
Exercise is recommended during treatment,in any way possible to stay active throughout treatment.Studies have shown taking 3 or more cups of coffee improves cure rates, taking vitamin D3 and B12 also improves cure rates. As far as smoking goes different studies have shown smoking is not good while on treatment it lowers rates of cure for genotypes 2 and 3 but not genotypes 1,not sure for genotype 4.Any how you might want check this old thread where this is discussed.
