Smile for today....

A woman and a man are involved in a car accident on a snowy, cold Monday morning.  Both of their cars are totally demolished but amazingly neither of them are hurt.

After they crawl out of their cars, the woman says," So you're a man.  That's interesting.  I'm a woman.  Wow, just look at our cars, there nothing left of them, but we're unhurt.  This must be a sign from God that we should meet and be friends and live together in peace for the rest of our days."

Flattered, the man replies, "Oh yes, I agree with you completely; this must be a sign from God!"

The woman continues, " And look at this, here's another miracle.  My car is completely demolished but this bottle of wine didn't break.  Surely God wants us to drink this wine and celebrate our good fortune."

Then she hands the bottle to the man.

The man nods his head in agreement, opens it, drinks half the bottle, and then hands it back to the woman.  The woman takes the bottle and immediately puts the cap back on, and hands it back to the man.

The man asks, "Aren't you having any?"

The woman replies, "No.  I think I'll just wait for the police..."

Moral of the story:
Women are clever!!!

We are supposed to be here to support each other.  I think it is very important that we remember the effects tx  has on our emotions and judgement. I've lost myself to irritability and obsessiveness, but attempt to keep my mouth shut if I'm not speaking kindly.
As a woman  who is nosy enough to look at my gay male friend's  magazines, I've never seen a shoot-down-women joke. All I saw was lots of hot men, some doing stuff I didn't care to see; it isn't women those mags are about.

I thought the same but hemoglobin did bounce back up once off both Procrit and the treatment drugs. At least the marrow factory seems in good shape now. Wish the rest of the system worked as well. Post treatment is quite an eye opener. I used to think DD was a quack. Now I see him as seer.

Go to the hemo in the am.  Last week was 11.0 and we had cooked a deal that we'd go at 11.  Gave it an extra week to see if it stabilized.  But, drop has been gradual and continuous.  Will be administered at the hemo ofc.  No rx, no paper, no deductible and they can hit spots I can't.  One thing I wondered is if procrit begets the need for procrit.  Like, does the marrow say 'hey, here's some epo to help with the production, now my natural processes can slack off a bit' and then the body gets 'hooked' on it, dunno but makes a bit of sense to me.  As for an hgb plateau,  first tx (800) hgb reached a level that remained sort of stable over time.  I think if given time, would achieve a similar plateau with 1200.  Wish I knew where that would be, not thrilled about being a procritter. But, works requires a lot of focus these days and I feel a little bit more and different brain fade brought on by the law firm of rebetol, interferon and anemia. The dog days have arrived.

Off to the hematologist first thing in the AM.  Cooked a deal with liverhead, tx doc and hemo that we'd jump in at around 11.  Last Thurs was 11 and we decided to give it a week for possible rebound.  It's been a gradual half point, or so drop, per month the last few months, so it's slow but unabated. Hemo will administer it in the ofc, no rx required, no paper stuff and no deductibles.  One other nice thing with them doing in the office, they can reach places that I can't - new ground to furrow.
