This is my second round of treatment, doing triple and on week 32; was und at 4, 12, and 24.  There are somethings I am waiting on, but spending a lot of the time planning and preparing for when tx stops.  The post tx tests will be important and in the back of my mind, and will deal with the news if it goes south.

Bestof luck in your svr.

I understand your feeling like your life is on hold. Even though treatment is not yet over, I feel that and suspect I will feel that until my 6 mo.SVR
It has taken a huge hunk of our lives, I think it is natural to have some ambivalence afterward.

I'm also genotype 2 and mykids and I did tx together at the same time We both did 24 weeks.
Although there were some trials a few years back which had those with geno 2 and 3 stopping at 16 weeks, it was never accepted as a standard.Too many people relapsed.

If you are und at 2 weeks, then you might stop at 16.

This virus is not logical. Some people have stopped tx due to various reasons as early as 7 weeks and been und. Others have done the full route and relapse.
The reason you're told to do 24 weeks, is to give you the best chance, statistically,  of becoming hep C free.

I have a question, I know I'm supposed to be answering you here though. Lol.  Because your genotype 2, and UND at 4 wks and again at 3 months, did they end your treatment there at 3 months? I've heard that some genotype 2 and 3 only have to do treatment for 12 wks.

No. My life was on hold during tx. Somehow, for me, doing the lab is just another thing on the check list, like getting my teeth cleaned.

That's just me. I can not allow myself to think of the possibility of not still being und. The reality for those of us post tp is fibrosis moves so rapidly that I won't even think about it. Also, I feel confident that tx worked. I
