Hernia getting more painful

My doctor diagnosed me with a inguinal hernia last week and since then its got bigger and alot more painful, to the point i dont know what to do, it still goes in but its very uncomfortable, when i cough it is agony and the whole area is very tender.

I need some advice please

Hi i will go to ER, i dont think it is strangulated as i said it goes back in when i lay down but it is very tender and hurts alot when coughing, a moving.

Hi, if the inguinal area is tender check to see for strangulation. This happens when the blood supply is cut off to a bowel loop due to the narrow neck of the hernia. But in this case there should be swelling and edema in the inguinal area and the hernia will not reduce. Just to be on the safe side go to the ER and check with doctors to rule out strangulation.
