can herpes be transmitted through food?

I have genital herpes and recently had an outbreak and after i applied Aloe vera gel i went and ate a bagel. After i realized that i touched my food without washing my hands I immediately freaked out because im scared i may have given myself throat herpes and began swallowing excessively and now my throat is extremely irritated and now theres bumps not in the back of my throat but what looks like my tonsils. When i dont think about this or when i eat food i can swallow just fine but when i panic again it feels like my throat is tightening. Someone help please, I need peace of mind :(

No. You will not get hsv in your throat from food. Besides your body builds antibodies to keep the virus at bay. This gives you a sort of immunity from spreading the virus to other parts of your body.
Even if it didn't you still will not get hsv from food.
You needn't worry
