there aren't food triggers for genital herpes for the vast majority of people who have it. The lysine/arginine theory was disproven a long time ago as well as they are now using arginine in research to treat herpes. symptoms after eating food is most likely a non-std related issue.
When I say symptoms for 6 months it not really bad its just a constant burn irratation both areas I mentioned.
I have had 4-5 times over that period it felt very bad but would reduce in pain in 1-2 days as that includes a very sore irrated penis and allot of tingling.
I"m not wanting to know I have herpes I'm just wanting to know for sure I dont and can move on with finding the problem. I dont think my uroligist is the right huy and I cant go to my regular MD as its a family friend.
Maybe a dermatoligist ? I'm lost and not really knowing what direction to go in but tired of the pain and depresion.
I sure would love to think so. The concern I have as when I have a soda, nuts and alchohol and many other things I get a new burn feeling on my anus rash mostly very quickly after consuming. However I also get it with other foods that are not suppose to be triggers. Last night I was feeling pretty good and took a spoonfull of peanut butter as a test and within 10 min I had a burning feeling not bad on my but rash and mildly on my penis. This is the stuff thats driving me crazy. Negative results but many symptoms just no open sores or blisters.
What is the normal type of anus/butt herpes rash you would get ? I just seem to have a red circle around the anus hole and it slightly burns depending on food and drink.
I have been loading up on vit C and Lysine with some zinc to help.
I read you do not buy into the Lysine idea ?
Do you really think retest is not needed and this is something else ? I cannot believe how long its gone on. I aslo read about people having outbreaks every week for the first year so is this possibly what I'm getting ? Sorry I know you told me 5-6 months is not possible to have symptoms but i read things that can say otherwise yet very rare.
Would you almost guarantee that with symptoms and irration from almost day1 that it would be almost impossible to not have positives antibodies develop after 4-7-11 weeks ?
you might want to consider the rash around your anus nay be a fungus. I've had that as well before in years past. Burning sensation. Mostly due to moisture. (Being a clean freak I had tried using Tucks wipes for awhile for cleaning back there. BIG mistake). Anyway, my symptoms were typical fugal rash. shiny red raw looking rash with edges around it looking like peeling skin. I told a pharmasist about it (They are actually pretty knowledgeable folks) She knew exactly what it was and recommended a cream. Lamisil cream cleared it up after several weeks of using. This is just a suggestion as a possiblity you might look into.
herpes will not cause symptoms for 6 months.
continue to follow up with your regular provider and an urologist to try to get to the bottom of this.
no need for more herpes testing.
