Hi I'm 20 week a pregnat , I just realize I have very painfull vaginal blisters with at the beggining though it was a pimple. I'm afraid it could be herpes.
If it is herpes is it possible I could have got it in a públic batroom? My housband swears he hasnt Being with anybody else , could he have it and not show anything on hes skin? Can this affect my baby? Does it have a cure? Thank you

Regardless of how it may have got there, you must immediately determine whether this is a recent or longer established infection.

Present yourself to your doctor immediately and ensure they take a swab that is assessed using PCR (specifically request this instead of a culture) and obtain a blood test for IgG antibodies, type specific for HSV1 and HSV2.

It would be very useful if your husband obtained the same IgG blood tests.

I think you should both accept for now that if this is herpes (and it could be other ailments!) then it could readily have come from before you came together and you not have to have symptoms to be a carrier of the virus.

No cure at the moment.  But there are treatment options.  Like Valtrex... Speak with your doctor.

Assuming you're right and you DO have HSV...
No way you could have caught it from a toilet seat. Impossible.

Your husband can definitely have it and not show it.  Get him blood test and look for the number if his result. You can find out whether or not is a new infection based on his results. Have your blood tested also. Ask for a "type specific IgG test".  Your doc will know what that is.

Good luck.
