no it doesn't take years until an ob occurs. What happens is that most folks who are infected, don't notice the symptoms of a newly acquired infection until they get a very obvious recurrence or they attribute the symptoms to something else.
best thing to do is to wait another month and get a type specific herpes igg blood test done and go from there.
no..idk. all i know is, i read that it can take years for an outbreak 2 occur...and its been 2months only..nothing yet i just want to know if the person (female) is now a "carrier" (i think thats what its called)????
if they were infected and were going to show obvious symptoms, they would've occurred by now.
the person in question can go for a type specific herpes igg blood test to see what their status is. do you know if they had ever had one prior to this encounter?
grace
yea but this event was in the middle of july... im still confused beacuse the person hasnt had an outbreak. is the person free from the virus???? how long after can it take before it appears?...thanx
Flu-like symptoms occur with actual genital lesions too. Otherwise, just a sore throat, etc. is most likely because it's cold/flu season. Lesions would generally appear within 2-20 days after exposure.
