Itchy healing stage? Pls help
Is itching and tingling after an ob normal? This is my 3rd wk since outbreak. Both igg and igm negative for hsv2 so thus is genital hsv1. Pls help. Took 10 days zovirax since aug 27. No more blisters. Never crusted just shrank and now looks like white scars.
Terrible itching at night only day is bearable ingoing for about 7 days now since blisters healed.
Also has anyone tried food grade hydrogen peroxide as hsv treatment?

No my husband was not tested. Will have a serious talk with my doctor. Husband has never had symptoms. Yes i will get checked for yeast and bv. Thanks so much! Does a new ob mean i was newly infected? Or could have been from old partners before marraige? Does it come out in blood only after an ob? Thanks
has your husband been tested to know his herpes status? if your first ob was 3 weeks ago, it was too early for testing to be accurate from blood. Assuming you have hsv1 genitally is actually incredibly inaccurate and an error on your providers part.
at this point if you are still itching a lot, time to be seen again and get properly tested for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally too. Neither are too unusual and bv especially can cause itching and not a noticeable odor or discharge which is why the testing is important before you treat.

Can anyone tell me if my test results are conclusive.. Igm 3.9 igg 0.2 for hsv2. My doc didnt let me get an hsv1 anymore since he figures if hsv2 is negative then it is surely hsv1. Monogamous and married. Thank you.
Monogomous. Married. Last other partner was 2005. My husband was freaking out when i got this so i believe he was not cheating on me. I was stressed and undergoing anxiety and sleepless nights when this happened. It was my first ever ob but now that i know the symptoms seem to recall some itching or tingling but it never progressed.
An first outbreak of genital herpes, particularly if a first infection with HSV, can cause symptoms that are prolonged and could take a handful of weeks to properly heal. It can be hoped that if this is herpes you will soon have relief and things back to normal.
