Can Bacterial vaginosis cause an HSV2 outbreak?

I have been living with Herpes 2 for the past 7 yrs. I rarely Have outbreaks...in fact i cant remember the last time i did. I actually havent taken acyclovir in forever but i try to keep up with my vitamins and lysine supplements. Recently i was diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis and my gynecologist said that my cervix is inflammed. Could this cause me to get an outbreak?

I told him he needs to go to the dr. asap, but he's about 1000 miles from home and he is refusing to go until he's back in town. He will be home thursday. Thanks Angela1234

has your bf been seen and gotten lesion cultures done and gotten treatment for herpes? If not he should do that asap.

spotting can be from herpes lesions and bv. hard to tell which one is the culprit at this point.

Thank you so much for your help.  Although its too late. I just found out i transmitted it to my bf and i feel horrible. Also, I have had random, light bleeding, Is this from the bv or could it be from blisters inside my vaginal opening? He's got herpes on his lips and mouth, and genitals. It burns when he urinates. Is this because he could have blisters in his uretha? Also are the HSV test any more accurate than the were 7 yrs ago?

most folks get more than enough lysine in their diets. supplementing with it doesn't really reduce ob's at all.

yes, bv is a known hsv trigger. Don't hesitate to take a round of acyclovir just to try to ward off a full blown ob.  If you have a regular partner, avoid sex until a few days after you are done treating your bv.
