PCR question

I've been having issues with my foreskin for months now. It's been red and irritated, and I've tried an anti-fungal pill and creams, hydro-cortisone. I got an IGG type specific blood test done, results for type 1 and  2 were negative.

I had a PCR come back inconclusive (was done on red skin, no bumps). I don't know what to think about all this. Any input?

It means they did not find anything so they dont use the words positive or negaitve as they would have to list all the things that would be positive or negative so they simply use the word inconclusive.

Why didn't it say negative? Why inconclusive?

PCR is a very sensitive swab test where they swab an area to look for germ DNA and in your case none was found so the condition falls outside the germ, fungas bacteria cause.

What about the inconclusive PCR? What does this mean?

Hi firstly hydro coritsone is a skin thinner and may be adding to the redness. It should not be used on irritated areas as is ment for things like itcheyness or a rash. Maybe change your bath soap and laurndy and softer to a hypo allergeric. Also try some loose fitting cloths and boxer shorts. Since all the tests dont show anything external it maybe  something chemical.
