Could a genital herpes outbreak be triggered by intial HIV infection?

Me: 25 female, caucasian, living abroad

I am going through what I would consider my initial genital herpes outbreak. It's hard to see a doctor here so I'm left with my own speculation, although I'm travelling to go see one next week.

I never thought I had genital herpes but now that I've read more about it I realise that I may have contracted it years ago. I recall a few times having the same tingling numbness I've recently experienced, and I've had what looked like 1/2" vertical crack in the skin at the top of my outer labia where it meets the pubic area, in the past a few times. I never thought much of this since at that time it didn't come across like a big problem, and I've gained weight on and off and thought it might be a stretch mark (it sounds crazy I know to get one there), because that's kind of what it looks like. This has happened maybe 4 times in the last 8 years.

Recently now I've had the tingling, numbness, extreme itchyness, dark brown (almost chocolate colored) discharge, what feels like uterus tenderness, and the crack in my skin looks more like a wishbone. There are some small bumps and they are red now because obviously, I was scratching them.

I had unprotected sex with someone, without ejaculation inside, and the genital herpes outbreak came around in the average 2 weeks it takes to show symptoms of initial infection.

My question is...is it possible that latent gential herpes could be triggered by HIV infection? I've never had anything like this before.

Thanks in advance! :)

I've been having the discharge almost ongoing since my last period, which came the week following the sex and is do next week. So I ruled out pregnancy and haven't had any other symptoms of pregnancy. But the discharge ranges from light brown to dark brown and by afternoon there's a creamy build up in my panties. It seems like a lot to me.

Also, in the last month I've began taking birth control pills and I've decided to take them back to back and skip my period this month in order to see a doctor on Friday without the mess.

no reason to suspect hiv at this point.

you need to be seen. the discharge you have sounds like an infection going on.

too late at this point from the sounds of things for an accurate lesion culture and typing for herpes but if you can be seen today or tomorrow, make sure you get one done.
