Do I have Herpes?

So I had been sleeping around at the end of last year so i am not sure when exactly contracted whatever I have, but i seem to remember getting a singular blister on the shaft of my penis after masturbating one night. I did not think much of it at the time as it went away by the next morning. I did not see anything more until around mid January I was masturbating again and found dozens of blisters on my penis. This concerned me, I woke up and the blisters were gone but the skin right under the head of my penis was very swollen. I got blood work done and it came back as having antibodies to HSV-1. I then went to an urgent care, i am out of state for school so i do not have access to an actual doctor. He told me to not worry about it and gave me a percription for Valacyclovir. i took this for 10 days but did not see any change, the swelling had gone down before i picked up the prescription. But i have had current outbreaks only while masturbating of blisters that stay for 10-30 minutes and disappear. I have been wanting to go get the blisters swabbed but they are always gone before i can have it done. Not sure what i have but i am confused as multiple of the workers at the urgent care feel that i do not herpes. If I can have any insight from yall's point of view of what i might have please let me know!

Herpes blisters last for at least a week.

What are you using to masturbate with? Any lotions or lube? Maybe you're having an allergic reaction to that? If you aren't using anything, try using a lube - not a lotion - to masturbate with and see if that helps.

It does not sound like herpes as the blisters wouldn't go away nearly that fast.

You probably tested positive for hsv1 because you have oral herpes - think cold sores - even if you've never had a cold sore that you can remember. 67% of the global population under 50 has hsv1, and the vast majority never gets any symptoms.

I have been using the same lotion for a long time before this started to happen so I’m not sure it’s an allergic reaction. It’s very odd and I’m not sure what to think as no one at urgent care can give me a clear answer or even what it possibly could be. All I have gotten is “it doesn’t seem like herpes but I have no clue what it could be”.
Lotions change formulas all the time. They might have added something to the formula or removed something, and suddenly, you're allergic. Also, allergies can develop at any time.

Try using something different for awhile just to see. It may not be that. It may well be something else, but at least you'll be able to rule that out if it happens with a lube designed for sensitive skin, right?

After you masturbate, do you wash? Maybe it's soap? Think of everything - don't rule anything out.

It just isn't herpes - those sores last days, not hours. Herpes sores wouldn't be all over your penis, either. They would be in maybe one or two spots.

If you can get into an urgent care when it happens and get them cultured, they might be able to find something, but if it's allergic, they might not find anything on culture.
