Do I have Impetigo or Herpes?

This all started when I waxed my genital area at home by myself. When I ripped the wax off I ripped the skin a bit on both sides of my labia minora. I also ripped off some skin from an ingrown hair. I used an alcohol swab to remove the rest of the wax and I used hydrogen peroxide on the tears and the one spot. Then I put some polysporin on the tears.
Later that evening I had sex with a new guy. He told me that he hadn't been with anyone for 2 years. My last relationship was exclusive and I had been with my ex a little more than two weeks before the new guy. The sex was kind of rough but not too bad.

A couple of days later I started getting sores on my labia majora where I had waxed. They weren't painful or itchy but they we red with white on some and others just looked like a little crater. I also had a dull pain in my lower abdomen and was worried about a bladder infection because I've had a few of them this summer.
I went to one doctor and he said he thought it was nothing and gave me some fucidin cream with a steroid.
I also asked him to take a urine sample as I was worried about an infection.

I was very active for the next couple of days and walking around a lot. I was wearing some snug fitting slacks and started to feel some discomfort. Now the bumps were getting worse and it appeared the the Bartholins gland on the one side was getting infected as it was swollen. I was also having a lot of burning when I urinated. I looked with a mirror and noticed two little yellowish puss filled blisters.
I went into the walk-in clinic again but had to see a different Doctor. She took a quick look and said yep, it's herpes. Took a culture, gave me a prescription for Acylovir, and left the room. I tried to ask questions and explain my situation but she wouldn't listen and told me to contact my primary care doctor. (I've moved and don't have one)

I was devastated. I then went to a third doctor at different walk-in clinic. At this point I was sure that I had an infection down there and probably needed antibiotics.
The third Doctor looked and said she didn't think it was herpes but I definitely needed antibiotics and prescribed Cefprozil. I asked if I should be taking the Acylovir, and she said no.

After a couple of days taking the Cefprozil the burning during urination stopped. That said, my lesions had then changed in appearance. I now had the yellowish fluid filled blisters in a few areas over reddish skin. My lymph nodes in my groin were also tender on one side. The area is sore to touch but not itchy yet.

I then went to see the first Doctor and it turns out that I did have a bladder infection. I asked him to look at my bumps again and he said that they are herpes. So I started the Acylovir.

I don't have the results of the viral cutter back yet but now I have red bumps on my fingers and palms of my hands. The bumps on my genitals are a little itchy now as well but not so much that I have to scratch. (I won't touch then with my hands)  I have had no fever during this ordeal and no headaches.

I'm beside myself with worry and doubt. If this is herpes it will ruin my dated life. Also, how did this happen? I was with only two people and never an issue till now. The new guy insists that he has never had this and the ex said the same thing. I've never had so much as a cold sore. I have to wait another week for my results from the viral culture and I'm crazy with anxiety.

Any similar experiences, suggestions or insights are appreciated.

Hi, you fall into a low risk group. Those most at risk are in long term mono relationships where one partner is infected. Since all this is appearing on the ripped wax area and have a white/yellowish hue, i would think its more fungal or bacterial than herpes. Also 2 days is really just at the window period as one week is the average for sores to appear.
My opinion is its not herpes. You can have a blood test at 8 weeks post exposure and a good indicator. Do let us know your swab results.
