I am a 50 year old male. I was tested on 1-18-18 for both HSV 1 and 2 IGG HERPESELECT TYPE SPECIFIC AB. My numbers for HSV 1 was 9.45 (index) H and HSV 2 was 3.46 (index) H. I tested again on 4-18-18. My numbers for HSV 1 were 12.70 (index) H, and HSV 2 was 2.41 (index) H. IGM SCREEN for both read as NEGATIVE ( ). I have NEVER experienced outbreaks (like from photos I've seen). I have had only one encounter with a female who IS HSV 2 positive. I DID receive oral sex from her. We did not have genital contact at all. Would I be susceptible? I am also given to understand that asymptomatic people should not receive HERPESELECT procedure. Is this true? I am asymptomatic. Can ANYONE with credentials enlighten me about this? PLEASE RESPOND. Thank you!
