Where can I get the Western Blot test?

I was tested positive for HSV2 in April here's my result:

4/1/2011
Herpes I Ab. (IgG): 0.11
Herpes II Ab. (IgG): 1.91

4/7/2011
HSV-2 IgG Inhibition, ELISA: screening index is 1.37, % inhibition is 88

The clinic told me that this inhibition test was a confirmatory test that i'm truly hsv2 positive. What is the screening index of 1.37? Is that also the antibodies level? What does the 88% mean? Does that mean the % amount of my viral load?
I've read some posts of others that they had low positives for the first few test so decided to do a WB and eventually came back negative. Also, someone had an inhibition test of 91% and after a year got a negative result from WB. This makes me want to get a WB as well. I'm going to move out of the country in 2 weeks. Is it possible to get a WB test in a foreign country? If not, can I order WB online? Should I have my specimen sent to U of Washington from overseas? How do I preserve the specimen?

Thanks

no other lab in the US runs the herpes WB but the U of washington. I have no idea if other labs outside of the US run it or not or what their rate of accuracy is with it.

1.37 is a low positive and most likely a false positive but we still recommend the confirmatory testing to back that it is a false positive.

Thank you for the response. Can you explain more about the western blot test? Is that a test kit from the U of Washington? Where can I order that? Does my specimen have to be sent over to the U of W lab or can i still get very accurate result even done in other labs as long as it's a western blot test kit?

Also, what does the 1.37 screening index mean for HSV inhibition test?

there are some issues with the inhibition assay unfortunately. I'd still pursue the WB ifyou can.

I have no idea if you can get the WB done if you are overseas. You'd have to contact the U of washington for help.
