Red Spot from a Cold Sore

I had a cold sore last tuesday, and it was gone by friday morning. now I have the red spot that is left over from having one. Ive had the red spot for almost 7 days. I was wondering how long it takes for this red spot to full heal, and when it is ok to kiss someone again.

by the time your bf comes home there won't be any reason not to kiss him :)

Yeah. The Blister is completely gone. But the red spot is still there and I'm not seeing it decrease much as every day goes by. I have very sensitive skin. When I get a zit after it goes away I still have a red spot for atleast a week to show there was a zit there on my skin. I just really want it to go away.

Ive looked online to try and find any way that can help increase the time it takes for the red spot to go away but i havent found anything.

My boyfriend has been overseas and comes home in less than a week. It breaks my heart that I can not give him a welcome home kiss. I'm desperate to have this go away and know that I am not contagious :(

Once the blistering has gone and the area is crusted over it's fair to say the infection has withdrawn. However regardless of whether there is a sore present or not HSV can still be infectious due to viral shedding although it's much less likley, bit of a Lottery is Herpes I'm afraid  .....
