Sorry! Accidentally posted without finishing, what I was trying to say is that I would recommend a full blood test for both of you because there was not as much knowledge and risk reduction methods as there are today when people in your age group were younger.
Hope it helped!
I'm sorry but you are incorrect about hsv1 - it can infect the genitals and genital HSV 1 is not uncommon.
I would recommend that she be tested because there is a chance she may have it also si ceany people acquire it orally and never know. If she does have it than it is unlikely it could affect her genitally because most people's immune systems build antibodies to protect itself, not to say it can't happen so if she did have it I would avoid oral sex while you have a cold sore.
As fast as the bleeding gums, i would recommend getting a full test. The spread of disease and using proper precautions were not
HSV1 is for oral. HSV2 is for genital herpes. Generally it is not hygienic to give oral sex while you have a cold sore. It is very unlikely you can give her genital herpes though as we re talking for different strains of the virus. First buy some ZOVIRAX cream ( acyclovir ) from the pharmacist and apply it on your lips. It will reduce the duration of the cold sore. Second there are many thing that you can do for periodontal disease. A deep dental cleanse on a good periodontal dentist or a simple course of an antibiotic called METRONIDAZOLE for 5 days will improve you gum bleading and smell for a long time. Metronidazole gel is also available for topical use on the gums. It wont take you more than a week to do these two things, time that i think your girlfriend will be nice enough to wait before she gets you between her legs. I wish you all the best
Hi, hsv1 can be passed from oral sex but you having hsv2 oral is not a concern because its rare. You both might take the hsv test because if you both have hsv1 you cant pass it to another area like genital. Those with it oral are basicly immune to contracting it in another area.
