HELP!

i got type 1 herpes on my genitals from my boyfriend who unknowingly had herpes and was asymptomic shedding the virus. I had a terrible outbreak but it went away but i never got an outbreak on my lips even though I was kissing him that night. My question is last night I saw him and he was getting a cold sore and it was pretty noticeable on his lip but i still hooked up with him, can I get it on my lips now even though I already have the virus and will this cause me to get an outbreak on my vagina because he had one on his lip when he was performing oral sex last night? Your feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

thank you so much that puts my mind at ease and hopefully I do not get an outbreak. I know I should avoid sexual contact with my partner during an outbreak just lack of judgment on my part.

Once your infection is say 6 to 12 months established, it will be extremely difficult for you to become infected orally. It has to be a sensible idea though to avoid sexual contact with an active outbreak on either of you.
