Is small crack Herpes ?

Hello
I had oral unprotected and protected vaginal sex with a sex worker.
3 days later small crack appears on scrotum (left ball), it is very small almost difficult to find. There is only 1 scratch but is a bit itchy and glistens slightly. After 4 days it is healing.
I went to the local clinic and doctor doesn't think it is herpes, claims a blocked pore.
Never had this before so would seem highly coincidental after visiting sex worker.
If herpes why only 1 small crack in skin ?
Very worried and will go to private doctor for second opinion - will a blood test be valid after only 10 days ?
Any help appreciated

Been back to docs and he thinks it is Epididymitis andput me on doxy for 7 days.
He thinks an igg test is a waste of time at present.
My left ball is aching  and it comes and goes - he says this is not a symptom of H.
I guess an aching ball for 3 weeks doesn'y sound like H

A lot of people are "pretty fit" through running, but it doesn't mean they can self-diagnose and call it as they see it. You have a doctor who told you it's not herpes. If you are concerned, get a blood test in 3-4 months and be done with it.

No Limey jokes Waring, haha. Ramada baby, listen, achy balls is NOT NOT NOT a herpes symptom!! I don't know what you have going on there but it simply isn't herpes!! Go to your Urologist and have him check you out!!! Please refrain from writing anything else on here about it because YOU DON'T HAVE IT!!!!!! Put it to rest already!!!!

OK all - looking on this forum there are other examples of a single tear being diagnosed as herpes so please don't write this off.
I know my body as I am pretty fit through running so I know when something is wrong.
Yes I am very worried and yes it may be in my head but how do you explain aches, pains, tingling in the balls.
And sorry about the old bean - i am a brit - only trying to be friendly.

Nope. This "problem" of the OP has nothing to do with prostatis[sic]. He's got a skin abrasion of some kind that isn't an internal problem. The rest of it - functional. Meaning it's all in his head.

If he feels guilty about going to a sex worker, he needs to work that out on a therapist's couch, not in a herpes or urology forum.

If he calls me Old Bean again, I will give his balls something to ache about, haha. My only suggestion now is to go see a Urologist and get a full prostate exam. Could have some sort of prostatis going on here. Your best bet would be to type on over to the Urology Board and let them have a crack at you.... You don't have herpes so you are wasting your time here.

Old bean?! Jesus, just give it up already. Like slacker said, go see a shrink if you keep spinning about this. You're starting to sound like a broken record. "My ball this, my ball that." Maybe stop focusing on your genitalia so much.

Pull up the pants and go do something else for a while.

When a friend of mine had her son, she said something like, "Little boys love playing with their peens. But they never stop playing with them, even after they grow up!"

Maybe just stop playing with your peen for a while and forget about this stuff. "Old bean."

Those aren't herpes symptoms.  Have you had any other testing done?  A prostate exam?

Your test might be about 60 or 70% accurate by now - and that's just an estimation.

Ok - so almost three weeks since contact and my left ball is still aching , as well as tingles it now feels as though I have kicked in the balls. It is just on the left side where i had the lesion.
If I have an IGG test at 5 weeks , what is the accuracy of the test ??

Tingly balls is NOT a herpes symptom. What the internet fails to mention is the tingle or itchy feeling happens where teh outbreak is going to occur, NOT the whole area unless you get one huge blister which is unlikely. If your balls are itchy, you probably have a fungal infection in which case you need to go get some jock itch spray or use what I use when mine get ithcy, Cortizone 10. That stuff works real fast! It's not herpes, sorry to disappoint you..

Ok slacker so I need my butt kicking for googling herpes too much however I still have tingly balls and just not right.

Will still get tested when the time comes. Difficult to move on when you feel so crappy

I think you are feeling this way because you are reading the internet too much. Nothing anyone here is going to say that will convince you so you are better off going to see a psychologist if you get to worked up about this herpes thing. You are focusing way to much time and energy on this and the more you read and convince yourself you have herpes, the more symptoms your brain is going to produce. Forget this and move on..

another question - do you normally get the flu like symptoms after the blisters or before ? I had one small tear which went in a few days and not felt right since...

should it be

1 tingles
2 sores
3 illness (headaches/tingly hands etc)

Or do you feel groggy throughouy the whole thing ?

you are such a considerate person responding to paranoid fools like me...it's such a weird time with the "not knowing" and I feel very isolated with this.
Any replies are much appreciated

I think you are convincing yourself you have something more than anything.

A one time protected encounter is very low risk.

Also when you have to look that hard to find something it's probably not worth worrying about. You were seen by a medical professional who doesn't think it's herpes to boot.

Will an igg test at 4 weeks be sufficient ? Any help much appreciated

thanks Slacker101 - just seems too big a coincindence however the crack may have beome infected through me constantly checking balls due to paranoia.
I have no other sores just this tiny one - today it hard to see.
Looking on the web it does indicate you can have sores on the scrotum so still a bit worried.

The testicals is not the place for an outbreak to occur. It isn't impossible but not very likely at all and your explaination of what u have going on doesn't suggest herpes either!!!
