HSV-1 genital and vaginal discharge
Hi everyone
Months ago i got infected with hsv-1 genital from oral sex. I been having this white milky discharge ever since and it smells abnormal. Sometimes i can see it coming out and it stains my underwear. I don't get ob often, but the discharge is still there. I would like to know what is causing this abnormal discharge to appear so frequently if i don't even have any ob and what can I do to stop it.

typically if you have any discharge at all with a herpes recurrence, it's clear and it ends when the ob is over.
I'd make an appointment to be seen again and have them look at your discharge again.

When I went to get a pap smear months ago, I told the doctor about the abnormal discharge and I told her that I wanted to know what it was. She got a sample and sent it to the lab and if they find anything abnormal they will call me to let me know. The doctor didn't contact me about any abnormal. Maybe I should get a second opinion and go to a diferent doctor. If I did have an ob, will this discharge be a common symptom of hsv-1 genital?

this isn't due to herpes. have you been seen and tested for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally?
