HSV positive non reactive

I tested positive for both HSV 1 and 2 but it is noted as non-reactive what does that mean?

Hello, I was also diagnosed with the same things as you, my mom gave me the simplex through kisses when I was younger, and recently contracted the other with a sexual partner I didn't know too well. And I know for sure because I had a sore, and had the culture examined when it was an open sore. And I recently got my blood taken at the doctor's and my results for both HSV were non reactive. I plan on asking the doctors my next visit. I also hope it means we have treated something people like to say is untreatable.

What was the result of having the sore swabbed? If this sore was the result of a recent encounter, your body may not have had time to build antibodies that would show on a test.
Also, what test did your doctor do! IgG?
This happened two years ago, when I had the sore swabbed. I also had blood taken at that visit, all showing positive for the hsv 1&2. I get my blood taken twice yearly for testing and I'm also on valacyclovir 500mg once daily for the past two years. Would that be why it was not reactive this time around with the results?
I also keep a diet very high in alkaline foods, drink alkaline water and listen to certain HZ frequencies on YouTube because I found those idea on line to help counter react the virus.
Antivirals can impact blood tests because the job of the med is to repress the virus. It stops it from replicating and can make antibody production drop. If you already tested positive for hsv via a swab, you really don’t need to blood test unless the swab wasn’t typed. And make sure all the testing you have done was IgG specific.

In lab and medical terminology, non-reactive = negative. You'll have to talk to the doctor or nurse to sort it out. It is your right to have the details. If you ask for more information or for a copy of the results, she has to give it to you. If you do so, post the results and maybe we can help.

I forgot to mention that a nurse also called me and told me it was positive but I accidentally saw the results on the screen that had me confused.

Sorry the only thing I saw was the results posted on the screen it said positive for both with the word non-reactive I have no print out or anything. The words were in bold red with an exclamation point to show it was positive. I have been using natural supplements for about three years and noticed that things that use to break me out stopped so I wanted to get retested. I did and that was the results could it mean that I have the virus but there is currently no active infection?

There must be something you misunderstand in your test resort. Non-reactive means negative. Maybe we can help if you would like to report the exact wording of the test report.
