Something on my lips

Hi guys. I've always had a few white spots on the side on my lips (maybe years). But recently (Last few days) it seems to be spreading. it's more obvious and towards the inside of my upper lip. it's like really tiny spots and in clusters. Along with it I've been experiencing dry mouth. Last time I had protected sex and no oral sex but plenty of kissing was on 26th March. Last time i received unprotected oral sex was in February. I went to the doctor, he took a look and said it's vitamin C deficiency + lack of water + too much smoking. he prescribed me Oral aid lotion. Could he have misdiagnosed?

You would get lesions (cold sores) very quickly. Within a day or two if this was hsv1. Really sounds more fungal or an irritation than anything.

Hey man. thanks for the reply. I forgot to mention that on the centre on the upper lips. it's abit dry+reddish. will probably monitor it for a week or so and maybe update here.

It's possible he misdiagnosed it but it surely does not sound like hsv.
