Having zero symptoms
Hey everyone,
I wanted to know the possibility of having HSV one or two although having absolutely no herpes symptoms for even 6 months after having the only sex in my life. Also if I was with a girl for 6 or 7 months and never saw a cold sore on her what are my chances of having HSV with no symptoms of my own? I have heared on different sites different things. I am 18 years old. Would that speed up or slow down the process? I'm just worried..

At your age about 1/3 of folks have hsv1 orally. if you want to know if you have it, get tested. same goes with hsv2 from your encounters.

Around 1/4 of the population has herpes 2, but only 1 out of 10 infected people know it. So, it is very possible to have herpes without symptoms. On the other hand, if you don't know that this girl is infected then the chances for a single encounter would be very low. The risk of infection increases with frequency of sex.
