Help need please What do I have?

In November someone I suspect was a sex worker performed oral sex on me when I was very drunk outside a night club.  I became aware of what was going on,she had my penis in her mouth for what I suspect could have been for about 1-2 mins. I stopped it & saw what I suspect was a cold sore above her lip.
About 2 weeks later I started feeling strange around my penis area & over time I noticed the following:
Balantis type redness
Burning sensations in my urethra that were intermittent but now gone
Feeling hot around my penis
Faint redness over the head of my penis & opening
Strange crawling feelings on my scrotum without any sores or redness
I went to my Dr & explained everything to him & he looked at the redness & said it was a yeast infection, he gave me a cream it went away after a few days, then a few days later came back.  He also did a complete STD blood text all came back negative.
A lump came up on my left scrotum below the penis shaft-I felt sure it was herpes so I went back immediately to my Dr & he did 2 thorough swabs of it for testing.  It came back negative.  I would like to point out what I have never had:
No lesions, open sores or ulcers anywhere on my penis
No swollen glands or flu like symtoms
No lumps or sores anywhere else on my body
A burning sensation when urinating
No night sweats
I am worried I have herpes as the balantis symtoms have been with me constantly for 9 weeks but goes when I apply the cream.
I am married & explained what happened to my wife who has been wonderful about this.
We have had sex 3 times over the past 5 weeks using condoms & she has had no problems or instances of concern. I plan to have an HSV 1 & 2 anti viral & antibody blood test the week after next which will be week 15 or 16.
These are my questions please:
What is the likelihood of HSV transmission in this situation?
What do you think I have given symtoms & lack of symtoms?
What is shedding & what does it feel & look like?
Is this a first outbreak of herpes?

Please share these "recent reports" you keep referring to regarding HerpesSelect ELISA.  It's odd that you're the only person who has access to these "official investigations by our top researchers". You talk about your discussions with Terrie Warren and Dr. Wald; but I find it interesting that it is you - and not an actual licensed professional - who has been chosen to spread the gospel about the HerpeSelect ELISA being anything other than the best IgG test available today.

Terri - who you quote often - has no issue with the HerpeSelect ELISA.  And has, herself, stated that the Western Blot is only slightly more accurate.

Even the people at UW Virology will tell you if you call them (and anyone can, it's free) that the Western Blot is best used as a tool to rule out false-positives or borderline IgG results.

Per Terri Warren, up to 90% of people who have HSV are unaware, due to a lack of recognizable symptoms. So I always recommend getting tested anyway, regardless of situation.

Hi Tim: First in foremost being honest was the approach - I was heavily drunk in the pacific islands and prostitutes regularly take advantage of really drunk men which normally id laugh at but not now - and there is now way id allow this if I was sober / awake.  Thank you for the advice and your time it is appreciated and yes I will get tested asap. Cheers.

Thank you so much for your time and comments it's very much appreciated. I
applied anti fungal cream last night and cleared up 90% over night and continuing to dissapate.  I dont know, I have read alot of the posts and it does seem like I dont have hardly any of the symptoms but then I will read something that says I could have it without symptoms??? Thank you again, I will consult my doctor.

All my best.

The HerpeSelect ELISA has been shown to have problems, by official investigations by our top researchers, in recent years. I recommend asking for something else, such as the Captia, or any of the immunoblots. Better yet, ask your doctor to order the Western Blot - 99% accurate and administered by the top research facility in the country, the Virology Research Center at the University of Washington.

You could go ahead and get the test now. If you were infected 14 weeks ago, it's highly unlikely you would not have some kind of antibody activity by now, however, I do think it would save the extra copay to wait the full 16 weeks.

Symptoms that are dissipated by a cream for yeast infection are caused by bacteria. HSV is a virus.

Get tested now. No need to wait until 15 weeks unless you want to rule out a false positive. The Herpeselect ELISA IgG will pick up 93% of infections by now.   I know you came here looking for someone to tell you your symptoms aren't worrisome... The truth is, any symptoms should be checked.  There is no such thing as a textbook herpes outbreak.

Also, how the Hell did you convince your wife that you were mouth raped by a hooker?

And lastly, if you did contract herpes, you contracted HSV1 which is very easily managed in most people and difficult to transmit to a partner if you take any precautions whatsoever.
