It's very common these days. For most women with HSV1, breakouts are not experienced very frequently if ever after 6 months.
Your partner being the source is pretty much immune from further infection avoiding outbreaks.
It's type one, so I'm gunna give my bf a punch lol. Thanks for your help x
He had what I believe to be a cold sore about 4 weeks ago. I'm waiting for my results to come back x
But it appears you have a long term faithful husband? This means HSV2 is less likely than HSV1.
Does your husband get oral cold sores and did you you receive oral sex 4-10 days before these sores commenced?
Thanks, we'll I'm a week in so hopefully only another week left. This has to be one of the most painful things I've ever had. Thank you for your quick reply x
Outbreaks can last anything from a few days to a few weeks but I think the average is around 1-2 weeks.
Since this is your first outbreak it will probably be the most severe one you will ever have. If you get anymore outbreaks in the future they will probably be much milder and shorter, and the number of outbreaks reduces over time as well so things will get better :)
If its 2, the first few outbreaks are the worst and get less severe. You should get results in a couple of days.
Type 2 I believe although they never said, they did say both can be in both oral and genitals but mines in the genital area. They did swabs, blood and urine tests x
Hi, can you tell us more like what test you had and the type like hsv1 or hsv2?
