Herpes Im confused
I had the test done for std last October and the test came backherpes type 1 5.0 type 2 0.91 negative and everything else negative except the shingles virus that i got it when i was small.
Now on march I when to the doctor for a check up and he notice a red espot on the skin on top of the penes .at that time I was working with batteries and acid i thouth it was a reacion to touching my penes with acid on the gloves. Well the doctor advice a herpes test and he gaved me a cream just in case it was a fongus or something the red spot was flat no paint no iching it didn't no discomfort it looks like a yeast infection to me but he say let do it and i pay for it . When the test came back the came back 5.0,for type 1 and 1.6 for type 2. I was surprise to say the leats .a week later me and my gf when and got a type 2 igg test and it came back positive but this test has no score it just say adnormal resolt.note my fg and I have type 1 all our life. 30 day later I when to my primary doctor and oder a full std everything came back negative except the herpes type 1 came back the same 5 and type 2 came back negative 0.45 i was like what? Well just to be safe 3 mouth after I when for my year exam and the other everything and the test came back the same type 1 5.0 type 2 0.91 negative by elisa test . can some body tell me wgat going to i had no simtoms of any kind was the 2and 3 test a false positive?

Other test abnormal resolt dont know the brand the paper say that the result may crossreact with other antibodys.

K fallow up to the problem i other a wb test it was 206 +80 + plus 20 for the blood and after 4 days of waiting it came back negative for type2. This test was done 6 mouth after any possible encounter . so far so good im supper happy and mad at the lab that gave me the false positive the first time . even my doctor is surprise he didn't know about the 2 netativa after the first. But now he know that when it comes to herpes is better to test 2 or 3 time with low possitive .
Your negative for hsv 2. I just went through the same thing with a low pos 1.3 that turned out to be a false positive. Breathe easy.
The last test was 90 days after the first firts positive and 6 months after anyposible contact but she tested negative at the same time my 4 test was negative .. Different girl.
There are many false positives in that low range for hsv2 when pos for hsv1 as well.
