Herpes Part 3

Part 3
Investigation and Conclusion:
I was looking far and wide on the internet asking many, many people to help me. Some thought I was crazy, others flatly refused saying I was imagining things and I felt like complete ****, alone in the world. First my family tragedy, then a few days later the risky incident and feeling like crap ever since. Ironic for a person who was a virgin till age 30.  However, one expert on the internet suggested I get tested for Cytomegalovirus (CMV)   a member of the herpes family. Guess what my CMV test came back positive. The IGM test came negative 0.134 but the IGG test came back positive at a high level of 78. I got retested two weeks later for CMV IGG and it showed a value of 60.  Now two months after my last CMV IGG test I got retested for CMV IGG and the value came 70.

Questions:
I am really confused. I have done extensive research on CMV. Its effects on the human body are varied. Inflammation of the blood cells, high blood pressure (derived from an experiment done on rats), breakdown of red blood cells. Apparently it effects cholesterol as well because my LDL cholesterol came to be 112 whereas my HDL cholesterol came to be 55. Almost twice as much bad cholesterol as compared to good cholesterol. Now if anyone can HELP  ME  I would much appreciate it.

Q1. Please tell me do I have an active CMV infection. If I do not then why is my body feeling so bad even two years after the incident. I still have urination problems, Bilirubin problems, high uric acid, body pains fatigue, feel depressed all the time and I cannot go out in the sunlight. I cannot even stand bright lights anymore. From what I have read CMV limits your ability to be in the sunlight as well as be in bright lights.

Q2.  The thing that is confusing me so much is the fact that if my CMV infection is inactive then why am I feeling all of these problems and why does my body react in these ways. If the body has supposedly fought of this infection (negative IGM) then how come my uric acid is not normalizing and my urination, fatigue and muscle pains are not going away.

Q3.Also is it actively destroying my liver and kidney? Is IT that I have HIV as well but that it is just not showing in the reports. The only thing that makes sense to me is that I have HIV and that is why the CMV is affecting me so much on a daily basis. Maybe the HIV is actively weakening  my immune system and that is why I am in facing so many health issues due to CMV.

Q4. Is my level of 0.134 CMV IGM a high level?

Q5. Will they ever come out with a cure for Cytomegalovirus. Are there any cures already out for it?

Q6.  Are there any anti-inflammatory medicine or viral medicine I should be having every day?

Q7. When I caught the flu recently my doctor gave me apart from Augmentin an anti-biotic also gave me Tandegyl (an anti-allergy medicine). And the anti-allergy seems to make me feel good. Do you think my liver is permanently affected that I feel good only if I have tandegyl?

PLEASE people help me out. God Bless all of you. I really need help. Please, I know that this post is an incredibly long post but I needed to put in all the information so that you people could be aware of my case history in detail and hence may be able to offer me some help. Please, if possible give me the answers to my CMV predicament and whether or not it is active and if not active then why I feel the way that I do.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

cmv won't cause you issues for this long. whatever is going on with you, it's something else.

Grace,

With all due respect I do not think I picked it up as a child because I have never felt this way. Also I began to feel this way immediately after the incident. Too coincendental. I have not seen a rheumatologist yet. Why do you think I need to see one? I have seen a kidney and liver specialist. Does CMV and Herpes eat the liver?

you most likely picked up cmv as a child. it wouldn't be causing you all these issues just now all these years later.

whatever is going on, it's not a cmv related issue nor is it s a std related issue.  Continue to follow up with specialists and your doctor as needed. have you seen a rheumatologist yet?

Dear Grace,

Thank you so much for taking the time out to read my posts and to reply. Grace I understand what you are saying but I feel you are missing one makor point. Before this incident I never used to feel sick, never had fatigue issues, never needed vitamin injections never went to doctors or never had high blood pressure or high uric acid. None of these problems existed. It is only after my extremely risky incident have all these problems occured. You see the only times I used to ever go to a doctor since I was a kid was when I contracted the flu which is pretty often as a kid going into young adults. I used to catch the flu 2wice a years and severe cough.

Immediately (4 days after the incident) I felt sick and all these problems occured. Before that nothing. And my excessive urination has become a major impediment when I go out I literally have to plan my urination. Its quite troubling .

And no one still has commented on the blood pressure experiment done on rats with cmv. When doctors injected cmv into rats they found out that the rats developed high blood pressure and also developed inflammation of their blood cells. Do you know that people with cmv have inflammed blood cells? That causes many problems . I also feel my thyroid gland has been affected by this virus. As my thyroid values although still normal have falled from when first tested 2 years ago.

I am not imagining any of this nor am I making any of this up. I seriously have these issues and after extensive research on the internet I am puzzled as to why more people do not know the effects of CMV and the body. I mean on the internet it shows a direct causal link between CMV and : blood pressure, acidity, deterioration of the spine(I have had lumbar xray it showed normal bone density but mild degenerative lipping in the lower spine), I dont know how to arrest the mild degenarative lipping of the spine through vitamins and calcium tablets maybe?, and CMV is associated with the inflammation of the blood cells .

Grace could you also tell me if My IGG level of cmv of 70 is high or not?

Please if you can address some of these questions it would be a great help to me. As you can see I take alot of time and effort to post in detail all the problems I am facing and it gives me great heart when someone takes the time out to reply to my queries as I feel that the world would become a far better place if we all help each other. Thank you Grace regardless.

your cmv is not an active infection.  90% of adults test + for cmv on igg by the time they are 40. it's incredibly common and most of us pick it up as children. It also won't cause you to feel sick for 2 years.

I'm sorry but this is not a std related issue. I don't have a particular forum to point you towards but this is not it.

Thank you so much for your time and your effort. I realize what you are saying about the doctors. I have shown myself to countless doctors in my country but no one can come up with answer. I know I do research on what I have but the sad part is it makes sense. CMV is related to high blood pressure( a study was done on rats), also my body cannot retain vitamins and I get gastric problems. Alternative diarrhea and constipation.

I urinate alot. And I cannot suddenly stand the sun anymore. After a half an hour to an hour int he sun and my head hurts like crazy. I also cannot stand bright lights anymore. All these problems after my incident that is the problem. I do understand the point you are making but trust me I am not imagining this.

Maybe I have HIV and the cmv is thus attacking my body because my immune system has been weakened? Please help me.

pay the 20 bucks and post this as a question to one of the doctors on this site.  If my two cents is worth anything, you mentioned that you had a family tragedy and then guilted yourself over risky sex.  All of this on top of some sort of psychological/physiological/social condition that prevented sexual maturity from developing in the first place?  And now you probably spend and exhorbitant amount of time in front of the computer.

I'm not judging, I understand.  I can obssess too. Ask the questions you need to ask, but keep in mind that the mind can manifest itself through the body.  You feel like crap mentally and you'll feel it physically.  Sounds to me like you might be overly worrying.

p.s.  if you have gotten tests for hiv 3 months post exposure, or longer, you don't have it.  It is counterintuitive to think that the virus is active enough to be effecting you and yet not active enough to detect.  Perhaps it is not CMV that is affecting you so much as is this thought process about disease.
