My boyfriend and I haven't been together very long, and we've always used condoms. Recently he got his blood test results back and they said he was equivocal for herpes 1 and 2. I was immediately scared but spent the first few weeks just trying to support him because he was afraid and depressed. But now, all I do is worry about it. Before we found out, he went down on me a few times without a dental dam, and I'm afraid that there's a possibility I have been exposed through this oral method. My sister has oral herpes, and I've shared drinks with her my whole life, plus I have had cankers my whole life since I was a child, so I really have no idea if I've been exposed to herpes 1 by him or my sister. I'm prone to UTI's and YI's, and when I practice safe sex with a condom I get these infections. Recently I've had a UTI for a few days that's killing me, usually my Zenith meds make it go away but this one is tough. I've had tough UTI's before so bad that I pee blood. :( But because of my recent knowledge I'm deathly afraid I have a UTI due to exposure to herpes virus. I've stopped our sexual activity until the UTI goes away but I'd also like to wait and get a blood test... how long do I have to wait to get a test? We've been sexually active for almost 2 months and he's never had an outbreak on his crotch or mouth. Help. This is driving me wild, I've always been safe and STD free. I'd like to stay that way.
