High HSV1 IGG

Does a high HSV1 IGG count mean that I was recently infected or that the infection is deep set and been there for awhile?

the result of your igg test really has no meaning other than you are infected with hsv1. No way to tell how long you've had it from a blood test.

once you have hsv1 on one body part, you are very unlikely to contract it on another body part.

if you aren't using condoms, have you both been tested to know your std statuses? have you both had your gardasil shots?  are you covering pregnancy?
