Herpes Test

I was recently diagnosed positive with herpes 2 (index 6) and herpes 1 (index .91).  No outbreaks yet. Since the second number low, should I be retested? Thank you.

have you considered daily suppressive therapy too?  less recurrences to interrupt your sex life plus reduces risk by 1/2 too.

We have been using latex condoms and will continue to use them.  Any other recommendations? Thank you.

have you and your partner discussed what precautions you want to start taking now that you know you have hsv2?

Hi, My partner has tested negative.  We have been and will continue to use protection at all times.  I have not read the herpes handbook but will do so.  Thank you for the help.

your hsv1 isn't actually positive. we don't consider the equivocal range positive.

has your partner been tested for herpes to know their status?

have you read the free herpes handbook yet that we recommend in our read before posting post on the forum?

I was having outbreaks on my buttocks.  Was never tested but suspected that I had genital herpes.  The test came back positive for both.  What is the relation between the hsv2igg  number and the hsv1 number?  If the hsv2 number had been lower then could my hsv1 test be a false positive?

if your hsv2 igg was 6, no reason to doubt that it's a true positive.

what led you to get tested?

do you have a regular partner?
