Recently diagnosed hsv2

I was recently diagnosed via culture as hsv2 positive.  Knowing the only way it could be a false positive would be lab error keeps me from getting retested needless to say.

Prescribed me Zorivax, 3 tabs a day for 10 days.  I took that prescription, havent had any recurrent outbreaks, my question is-

I have had pressure/pain, intermittently in what I believe is my urethra.  Is this related to Hsv2? There are no other symptoms of an outbreak and has been going on for quite some time. My left testicle also kind of aches at times, and after ejaculation once there was kind of intense pain in my urethra.

My second question is, after the first cycle of anti-virals, will that kind of increase the chances of suppressing the virus?  I mean as far as lessen the outbreaks in the future just because of the one cycle

call your local health department to see what your local low cost options are for dealing with this. you should have some basic urine testing done as well as a manual exam of your prostate and your testicles too.

these aren't herpes symptoms. have you followed up on them with your doctor or an urologist yet?
