Herpes and discharge

I found out i have genital herpes, since then im on suppressive acyclovir but my question pertains to a clear liquid discharge im having that causes me to wear a pad like i am having my period. it is completely clear, no smell but there is tons of it even to gushing. Is this normal, i am having an outbreak now and have been on the med for 22 days with it not getting any better at all. i burn and itch but there is no yeast as i did go to my dr but had to see the nurse..any help would be greatly appreciated

I went back to dr. she thinks I have either strep or ecoli. she did two more swabs one for strep and the other was just called a genetial culture. she put me on Augmentin for ten days then start a yeast cream after 3 days and a diflucan pill also ..we will see what this does..thanks everyone for all your comments and concern

you need to be seen again for the testing I listed.

herpes wouldn't cause this much discharge.   the medication you were given doesn't cause any discharge.

certainly you need to return to be seen again. get properly tested for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally. also ask them to do a gram stain on it to see if it's an overgrowth of lactobacillus too if none of your infectious causes come back as +.

Go see a doctor ASAP. It sounds like it could be nongonococcal urethritis (NGU) or possibly gonorrhea. Get it checked out and see what they say..

It's possible that the medication is causing the discharge.  Have you been tested for any other STD'S?
