How long before I can get tested to see if I have HSV2?
I had sex with a man, then was informed by his friend that he has herpes, how long before I would show symptoms or how long before I can get a test done to find out if he gave it to me?
12 weeks is the time frame considered conclusive. Was the sex protected or unprotected? If unprotected and he has hsv2 your odds are roughly one in a thousand. If he has genital hsv1 then you were at no real risk at all.
