Could I have somehow passed HSV2 to my child?

Both my husband and I have HSV2 and have had it for a couple of years now. We have a daughter that’s now 1. While pregnant I took an antiviral at the end of my pregnancy and ended up having a c-section anyways. She had no signs of birth-acquired HSV. Anyways, she has had a small diaper rash where she’s just red and she had one spot that looked like a tiny cut or opening. I put Vaseline on it and the next morning it was gone along with redness. I know usually sores stick around for a 1-3 weeks or so and usually crust over before getting better but I can’t help but worry that it could be a possible HSV infection. Should I take her in to be tested for it? Or not worry like I am.

If she got it at birth, She would’ve gotten incredibly sick. The doctors would’ve known. Nothing to worry about. The only way you could possibly transfer to her is through sexual contact. Just go about living how you’re living. She’s going to get rashes. Wash your hands after you go to the bathroom and be done with it. That’s all you have to do to protect yourself and protect her.
